Christmas Tragedy

Sadly we have already experienced the tragic effects of the horrors on New Zealand roads inclduing a terrible fatality on Christmas Day. It seems dreadful that the newspapers continue to record the number of deaths and serious injuries that occur on a regular basis, but I suppose that at least if it’s in our face we might just stop and think! What a great job New Zealand Police do,especially at this time of year, I can only imagine how dreadful it must be to have to go and knock at someone’s front door during the “festive season” to tell parents, brothers, wives, husbands, mothers, fathers that their child is dead.

On a further note, we have already started to receive referrals for the Waitakere and Auckland programmes. The February Waitakere Programme is over subscribed but the Auckland Programme has spaces which unfortunately/fortunately will be filled soon! I would just like to acknowledge the work continued by Courts in working through this time – Thank you.

John
